Sexual violence is a
violation; it is any non-consensual sexual experience involving force,
coercion, and/or fear. Sexual violence includes, but is not limited to:
forced vaginal, anal, digital, and/or oral sex, fondling, sexual
harassment, rape, childhood sexual abuse and molestation, and forced
touching. It can be perpetrated by men or women. Sexual violence is
non-discriminatory; perpetrators or victims may be from any class, race
or sexual orientation. 86% of all rape is perpetrated by someone who is
KNOWNto the victim.

abuse, and domestic violence are among the most common causes of
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in women. The chances that a woman
will develop PTSD after being raped are between 50% and 95%. Sexual
assault is also closely associated with depression and anxiety disorder.
